Welcome to our Century Ranch

Where perpetuating our families legacy of "Raising the Bar" in the beef industry is in our genes. Our historical ranch is located in the heart of our state, on the beautiful, but at times unforgiving arid high desert of Central Oregon. Shadowed by the majestic Haystack Butte, scattered with juniper trees, sagebrush, rock outcrops and meadows of native grasses at its base, it offers us a distinct and rugged environment for breeding and raising elite, real world registered Black Angus cattle with true performance, functionality and soundness bred & built into them.

Our rich heritage runs deep, dating back more than a Century.  In 1991, with the pioneer spirit of our forefathers and a strong desire to improve the beef industry, Bar KD Ranch was established. As fourth generation to our families legacy, we broke the long standing ranch tradition of raising commercial Hereford based cattle and began developing the nucleus of our elite herd of registered Black Angus cattle.

Now, more than three decades and generations of proven cow families later, staying true to our mission of producing the kind, with the Cattleman in mind,  has proven to be the key of our success. While our roots are  tied to the past, our focus is always on the future and elevating Angus to greater horizons.  Striving daily to be at the forefront of current producer and beef industry expectations and enhancing the bottom line of both commercial and pure bred operations with cutting edge genetics to ensure that their legacy continues forward, is of utmost importance to us.

If your ready to raise the bar in your cow/calf operation, with the addition of true performing, highly fertile, sound, functional and breed leading Angus bulls and herd building females, we can help you achieve that goal. Visitors are always welcome and we encourage you to stop by for a tour of our ranch to learn more about our unique program, review genetic acquisition opportunities and experience first hand how we do it on the range on the high desert of Central Oregon.
